HOLDEN – Charles and Christine Shuman celebrated their 50th anniversary this summer in the company of family and friends. They were married May 31, 1958, at St. Mary’s Church in Bangor by Father Peter Gorham. Attendants at the wedding were Christine’s sister Mary (Cahill) Feeney and the late Joe Feeney. Charles, son of the late Albert and Sally Shuman, retired as deputy chief of the Brewer police force and is a co-founder of the international police motorcycle club, the Blue Knights. His wife, Christine, daughter of the late Frederick (Glenwood) and Josephine Cahill, retired from New England Telephone Co. in Bangor. They have three children, Lori Edgar, Vicki Bailas and Robert Shuman. There are four grandchildren.
