The full moon marking the arrival of October had a tough time peeking through the clouds, given a weekend of heavy rains Down East. While the torrents may have ruined many a yard sale and leaf-peeping expeditions statewide, two days of weekend rain were a blessing for the cranberry harvest, plumping up berries just before the start of the annual fall harvest.
