ORONO – Fred and Terri Wlodarski are very pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Jennifer to Michael A. Stahler, son of Michael H. and Diane Stahler of Lyndonville, Vt. The couple met on a blind date in Burlington, Vt. They were both pleasantly surprised. Jennifer is a 1995 graduate of Orono High School and a 1999 graduate of the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Arts degree. After a career in marketing, she earned a Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Certificate and is a member of the Class of 2011 at the University of Vermont College of Medicine. Jennifer has also been recognized for her poetry and has been published in the University of Vermont College of Medicine’s literary magazine, The Red Wheelbarrow. Recently, she has been honored for her poem “Slow Horse” in the 2009 William Carlos Williams Poetry Competition, a writing contest open to all medical students across the United States. Jenn has served the Vermont community through winter and summer Special Olympics and has served on the board of VSA Arts of Vermont. Michael is a 2003 cum laude graduate of Middlebury College with a Bachelor of Arts degree and then worked as a litigation paralegal with Curley and Curley P.C. in Boston. He is a 2008 cum laude graduate of Vermont Law School with a juris doctorate and in 2008 was admitted to the Vermont Bar. He is an associate attorney in the litigation practice group at Kenlan, Schwiebert, Facey & Goss P.C. in Rutland, Vt. A co-author of a chapter on brownfields redevelopment in Vermont to be published in an American Bar Association treatise on the subject, Michael is also co-author of an upcoming article that overviews the First Amendment rights of public school students for the Vermont Bar Journal. Michael is an Eagle Scout and serves as a Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader. Jennifer and Michael are planning a July 2010 wedding in Midcoast Maine.
