Employees who work in the Cross Office Building at the state capitol complex in Augusta were evacuated from the building on the morning of Thursday, March 28, 2013. They returned to the building after firefighters gave the go-ahead about a half hour later. Read the story here.

UMaine grad student Amy Pierce performs &quot12 steps to planning a perfect wedding" during GradExpo at the new IMRC building, Innovative Media Research and Commercialization Center (for Intermedia, New Media and Art) on the Orono campus on Thursday. For the first time in memory, the Montville annual town meeting scheduled for this Saturday will not take place in the Montville Town House, after an inspection from the Maine State Fire Marshal's Office showed that the building has a 90-person capacity. Towns people will gather at 10 a.m. at the Walker School in the neighboring town of Liberty. Read the story here.
