If the kitchen is considered the heart of the home, the kitchen sink must be its crime scene evidence locker. Sooner or later, remnants of the day’s activities appear in one form or another in the kitchen sink. Don’t think so? Take a look at yours right now, I’m willing to bet it will offer a story.

Ever wake up and and recall the previous night of activities by what is waiting for you in the sink? Or how about scooping out that bowl of ice cream only to find all the spoons are at the bottom of dirty dishwater… in the sink.

“I can’t stand a dirty kitchen sink or a nasty bathroom” says one of the 11 Bangor residents who offered me a glimpse and a photograph of her sink, untouched, on Thursday, July 12, 2012.

I offered anonymity in return.
