KENDUSKEAG — Harold and Mary (Girvan) Call of Kenduskeag and Zephyrhills, Fla., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends on July 2, 2011, at their camp on Schoodic Lake. The party was given by their children Kimberly and Pete Hikel and Michael and Tami Call; and their grandchildren Kacy and Matt Hikel and Abby Call. The couple were married on April 22, 1961, at the Kenduskeag Union Church with the Rev. Charles Dartnell officiating.
Harold retired in 1996 from the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad after 32 years of employment. He is a 40-year member of Kenduskeag Lodge AF & AM and hobbies include antique cars. Mary retired in 2000 from the University of Maine System after 25 years. She is a life member of Order of the Eastern Star and vice president of women’s golf at Betmar in Zephyrhills, Fla. They are both members of Kenduskeag Union Church, and enjoy golf, traveling, hiking, cards and games, and spending time with family and friends.
