The common redpoll is a small finch that summers, primarily in the Arctic regions. Its migration is erratic, but the birds usually can be seen in our area during winter months. Often seen in large flocks, this little guy was alone and very busy gathering food on this cold day. I was so fascinated observing and photographing this finch’s activity time zipped past. Only the darkening sky alerted me to the necessity to move on.

Whether you call it walking, running, jogging, hiking, hunting, fishing, canoeing, boating … you see what I mean … it’s a great Maine outdoor adventure, enjoy.
