Leavitt, 59, later did two cartwheels across the floor. Past and present high school basketball stars and cheerleaders and their families showed up to relive past glory days.

Aging basketball players from around the state rubbed elbows with current student athletes after ponying up a few dollars to help support the Maine Basketball Hall of Fame on Saturday at the Bangor Auditorium. Some showed up just to look at the pictures and read the names, recalling the past victories and defeats, tears and memories that were born on the Auditorium’s floor.
