ALTON – Amanda Jeanne Newey and John Phillip Allen Ehman are happy to announce that they are now Mr. and Mrs. Ehman after they exchanged wedding vows on Sept. 5, 2009, at the North Brewer-Eddington United Methodist Church in Eddington with the Rev. Dr. Tracy Reeves officiating. A fall-themed reception was held at the Eastern Maine Snowmobile Club in East Holden. It was a memorable day of celebration shared with family and friends on a perfect fall-like day. The wedding party included sister of the groom Kimberly Willette of Old Town as matron of honor; friend of the bride JoAnna Gilkey of Bangor as bridesmaid; the bride’s cousin Loren Goodwin of Lee as flower girl; the groom’s son Bradley Ehman of Alton as best man; the bride’s brother Jason Newey of Eddington as groomsman; and the groom’s nephew Cody Willette of Old Town as ring bearer. The bride is the daughter of Richard and Sharon Newey of Eddington, and the groom is the son of John P. Ehman of Old Town and Dorothy M. Ehman of Old Town. Amanda, a graduate of Brewer High School, is employed at R.H. Foster in Hampden. John, an Old Town High School graduate, is employed by Bangor Water District. The couple postponed their honeymoon until a future date. John, Amanda and Brad reside in Alton.
