BASS HARBOR – Alexandra Sequoia Lincoln, of Lenox, Mass., formerly of Pretty Marsh, and Gregory Nickerson Brown, of Georgetown, announce their engagement. Ms. Lincoln is the daughter of Nan E. Lincoln, of Bass Harbor, and Robert K. Lincoln, of South Lake Tahoe, Calif. She is the granddaughter of Margery Stafford, of Bass Harbor, and stepgranddaughter of Marion Fremont-Smith, of Cambridge Mass. She is also the granddaughter of the late Dr. Paul Fremont-Smith, of Cambridge, Mass., and the late Alexander and Elizabeth Lincoln, of Meredith, N.H., and Southwest Harbor. Ms. Lincoln attended Mount Desert Elementary School, the Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, Conn., and graduated from College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor in 2000. She is employed as an actor and manager of school programs at Shakespeare and Company in Lenox, Mass. Mr. Brown is the son of Thomas Brown and his wife, Gail, of Bangor. He is a graduate of Gould Academy in Bethel and the University of Southern Maine, Class of 2002. He is employed with the Portland-based 1 Sky, a national climate action, non-profit organization. The wedding date will be announced later.
