When you think of Maine, you think of lobster. The shellfish has been synonymous with the state since the fishery took well over a century ago. For 67 years, the Maine Lobster Festival has brought thousands of pounds of lobster, parades, crate races and sea goddesses to Rockland. Here are a selection of archived images from past festivals.
