Ambroshia “Amber” Fagre, 18, of Oakland was mortally shot by police in Vassalboro on Feb. 10 as a passenger in a truck driven by Kadhar Bailey, 25, of Gardiner, who also was shot after ramming the truck into a Maine State Police cruiser. He died at the scene and she died the next day.

The family of Ambroshia “Amber” Fagre , one of two people shot by police Feb. 10 in Vassalboro, say they are struggling to come up with the funds to bury her and can’t afford to pay for an obituary.
Jessica Fagre talks about her daughter, 18-year-old Ambroshia Fagre, who was fatally shot by police on Feb. 10. Ambroshia was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Kadhar Bailey who also was killed. Officers, who were investigating reported burglaries in the area, fired at the pickup truck the two were in after Bailey rammed it into a police cruiser, according to police.
