BAR HARBOR, Maine — Approximately 100 dogs will leap, weave, spring, soar and tunnel their way through a variety of obstacles at a two-day canine agility trial Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 8 and 9, at Hadley Point Campground in Bar Harbor, hosted by the Eastern Maine Agility Club.
Dog handlers in the competition will range in age from early teens to seasoned veterans more than 70 years old Trial judge Kimberly Stumph of South Paris will design the courses and evaluate approximately 400 individual runs throughout the full two-day competition.
Club president Bob Hamlyn of Newcastle oversees each trial.
The event is one of five trials sanctioned by Canine Performance Events hosted by the club each year in Maine.
