MILO, Maine — United Baptist Church will host a conference for women from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at 8 Pleasant St.

Lisa LaCombe, Joleen Starks, and Candi Adams from Women Encouraging Women Ministries will share their stories of breaking free from troubled pasts. Their ministry helps women who have experienced shame, past or present abuse, addictions, fear and other burdens to find healing through the power of Jesus’ unconditional love.

Women who are struggling with past hurts, overwhelming situations, or those who just need to be encouraged will discover how to live life to its fullest. The event will include special music, fellowship, a question and answer time, and a luncheon with a variety of soups, salads, rolls and dessert. Counseling will be available, and the event is free of charge.
