WERU Community Radio invites the public to meetings of our Community Advisory Board on Thursday evening, June 5 at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Ellsworth on the Bucksport Road (Route 1) from 6:30 – 8:00 PM, and on Wednesday, June 25 at the Belfast Free Library (3rd floor conference room), also from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. The Community Advisory Board is a group of listeners appointed by WERU’s Board of Directors to provide feedback about how well the radio station is serving the community with its programming. All WERU listeners and members of the general public are invited to bring comments and questions to these informal meetings. WERU’s General Manager and Board of Directors will be there as well to listen to feedback and answer questions about the station. Reservations are not required but calling 469-6600 or emailing email@example.com to let us know you are coming would be helpful. More information is available online at https://weru.org/.
Here is a sample of the questions that will be asked as conversation starters at the meetings:
What are your greatest concerns about your community that you’d like to hear about on WERU? What in your community merits celebration that you’d like to hear on WERU? How could WERU better serve the community? When WERU is at its best what are you hearing on the air? What do you think WERU could do better?
If you’d like to share your thoughts about WERU please join us on Thursday evening, June 5 from 6:30 – 8:00 PM at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Ellsworth on the Bucksport Road (Route 1) in Ellsworth or on Wednesday, June 25 from 6:30 – 8:00 PM at the Belfast Free Library.
