CASTINE, Maine — Castine is celebrating  summer with live concerts on the waterfront through its Waterfront Wednesdays Concert series which will be held 5-7 p.m. beginning Wednesday, July 25 through Aug. 29. Rain dates are Thursday 5-7 p.m.

Mike and Suzy Faye will perform with Henry Erhard playing folks and blues on Wednesday, July 25.  Other upcoming performances include Blue Sevill (jazz) on Aug. 1; Shades of Blue (jazz) on Aug. 8; Shilleigh (Irish and Canadian maritime music) on Aug. 15; Atlantic Clarion (steel band) on Aug. 22 and Downeast Fiddlers (country) on Aug. 29, which will also feature a boat parade.

The Castine Town Dock will become a showcase for family entertainment featuring bands from within the community and surrounding areas. The concerts are free of charge and all are welcome to bring their lawn chairs and enjoy the music. Danny Murphy’s will be on hand for open-air grilling and other restaurants nearby serve dinner and ice cream.
