Washington County takes back unwanted prescription drugs

MACHIAS, Maine –  Washington County is assisting in the promotion of the next drug take back day 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29.

The local police departments within Washington County and the Drug Enforcement Administration will give the public another opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.

Bring your medications for disposal to various sites within Washington County, Machias, Calais, Eastport and Baileyville.  The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
