Veterans officer available to assist veterans

STATEWIDE, Maine — Don Dare, veterans services officer, will be available at the following locations:

• Dover-Foxcroft: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10 and Wednesday, Jan. 22, Penquis Cap Building, 50 North Street.

• Lincoln: 8:30 a.m. -3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3 and Thursday, Jan. 17, Lincoln VA Outreach Clinic, 99 River Road.

• Newport: 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11 and Thursday, Jan. 24, Newport District Court.

The service officer will assist veterans, widows and dependent children to apply for state and federal benefits.
