ORONO, Maine — Dirigo Pines resident Will Bartlett put his green thumb to a good cause this summer. He used his raised garden beds at Dirigo Pines to grow a wide variety of vegetables that he placed on the Dirigo Inn front desk for all to enjoy. He asked for a donation that would benefit the Maine Alzheimer’s Association. Bartlett (left) hands a check for $116 to Steve Bowler, committee member of Eastern Maine Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Bowler said that the walk on Oct. 6 raised more than $80,000.
