BANGOR, Maine — The Husson Institute of Continuing Health Education Programming will hold a conference, “Clinical Supervision and Precepting: A Positive Experience for All” 8 a.m.-4 p.m Friday, Oct. 12, in the Dyke Center for Family Business at Husson University.
The institute invites pharmacists, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physical therapists, occupational therapists, counselors, clergy and other clinical staff who supervise students or precept new staff to the conference. The goal of the session is to enhance Maine health care providers’ supervision competencies by providing knowledge and tools to develop and improve their skills as supervisors and preceptors.
Conference speakers will be Dr. Deborah Drew, Dr. Jeri Stevens, physical therapist Cheryl Adams, physical therapist Karen Morren, Dt. John Yasenchak, family nurse practitioner Chrystal Adams, therapist Meg Smith, family nurse practitioner Mary Jude and physician assistant Carl Toney.
Tuition for the conference is $95 and includes materials, lunch, refreshment breaks and certificate of attendance. Organizations registering three or more participants receive a discount fee of $70 per participant.
