Troy School Excited to Host Visit from U. S. Senator Susan Collins

Troy, Maine, April 7, 2017 – United States Senator Susan Collins will visit Troy School in RSU #3 on Wednesday, April 12 from 1:00 – 2:15. Her visit will begin with a presentation to the third, fourth, and fifth grades where she will explain what it is like to be a Senator so that students have a better idea of what being a Senator is like. Then she will visit the first and second grades, where she will share with them a story. Her final visit of the day will be with the Kindergarten students. When asked if there was anything that he would like Senator Collins to speak about, Principal Glen Widmer asked if Senator Collins could address the skills that are needed to get along with one another, noting Senator Collins’ skill as a mediator and unifying voice in our Senate. Needless to say, Troy School is exceptionally excited to host this visit – we can’t wait until next Wednesday!

Troy School is a small elementary school of 100 students in Troy, serving the towns of Troy and parts of Unity.
