BREWER, Maine — On June 13, Tradewinds will open a new store at 435 Wilson St. in Brewer with a major focus on discount snacks and beverages.
Tradewinds was founded in 1999 with its first location being in Blue Hill. The Tradewinds name was offered by two school teachers as part of a community contest.
Tradewinds currently operates five other location which includes a car wash and gas at 471 Wilson St. in Brewer. Tradewinds’ other locations are in Bangor, Eddington and Milo.
Owner Chuck Lawrence is contantly asked how he can manage so many locations. Chuck’s response is simple: “I have some of the best associates in the business, and I couldn’t do any of this without them,” according to a press release.
Tradewinds is proud to announce that Deanna Lee has been promoted to the position of store manager. Deanna has been an associate of the Eddington store for more than five years.
Owner Chuck Lawrence is planning an 1,800-square-foot expansion this fall and is in negotiations with several takeout franchises to bring a quality lunch and dinner offerings.
A 5 cents cash discount will be offered on Valero Gas and this station will join the fight again Cancer by donating a penny a gallon to Eastern Maine Charities.
