Stetson Resident Releases Book August 1

STETSON, Maine —  Cape Elizabeth graduate and current Stetson resident Kate Mitchell will release the hard copy of her novel Aureole on Amazon on Wednesday, Aug. 1.

Digital copies of the novel are currently available on Kindle for $6.99. The print version will be available for $11.99, plus shipping and handling. For every book sold, $1 will be donated to the Arthritis Foundation.

Aureole is a realistic fiction novel set in the Upper East Side of New York City. It follows Jess Carleton and her life among the wealthy Bishop family, focusing primarily on the difference made in their lives by the scheming Christenson siblings. Everything that quiet, unassuming Jess has known over ten years of living with the Bishops changes once the Christensons move into their building, and she must decide what to do or lose everything she has come to treasure.

Mitchell is currently a senior at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., where she majors in Secondary Education and English. She plans to pursue a career in writing as well as teaching. Aureole is her first book.
