BANGOR, Maine — The loss of a loved one is not a journey you need to experience alone. St. Joseph Hospice offers a caring and compassionate grief support group called Tapestries for adults who have recently lost a spouse, child, parent, sibling, friend or other loved one. Led by bereavement support specialists, Tapestries is an opportunity for those grieving a loss to come together and find support during one of life’s most difficult experiences.
This eight-week support group will begin Thursday, May 9. Through education, activities and communication with others who understand what you’re going through, our support group can help you recover and move forward. By better understanding the bereavement process and learning how to care for yourself while grieving, you can begin to heal and rebuild.
No one should experience the grieving process alone. For more information about joining this unique healing opportunity, please call Renee Hunter, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Bereavement Coordinator for St. Joseph Hospice, at 907-1810.
