DOVER-FOXCROFT, Maine — The Seniority program at Mayo Regional Hospital is planning a Bar Harbor adventure for Wednesday, Aug. 29, including a historic lighthouse boatcruise, shopping and a lobster bake.
The cost is $115 per person for Seniority members and Mayo employees, and $130 for others. The package includes a charter coach bus, catamaran cruise and lobster bake dinner.
Deadline for payment is Friday, Aug. 3, and checks should be made out to MRH Seniority and mailed to Lil Smith, Seniority, 897 W. Main St., Dover-Foxcroft, ME04426.
The bus will pick up passengers at two locations, in Milo at 6:15 a.m. and in Dover-Foxcroft at 6:30 a.m. Evening drop-off times are 8:45 p.m. in Dover-Foxcroft and 9 p.m. in Milo.
The Bar Harbor cruise begins at 9:30 a.m. aboard a 90-foot jet-powered catamaran for a 2.75-hour narrated tour of the light houses and views of coastal mansions andAcadia National Park. After the cruise, passengers have lunch on their own in Bar Harbor, and then a choice of shopping in either Bar Harbor or Ellsworth.
The final stop on the trip will be at the Bar Harbor Lobster Bake in Hulls Cove at 5:15 p.m.
Make your reservations early, as last year’s trip was sold out.
