BANGOR, Maine — WERU and the Peace & Justice Center of Eastern Maine will present satirical folk singer extraordinaire, Roy Zimmerman, in concert at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at the Peace & Justice Center, 96 Harlow St.
Roy pens and performs “funny songs about ignorance, war and greed” and can be accurately described as a descendant of Tom Lehrer or what Noam Chomsky would sound like if he was hilarious. You want funny songs about class warfare? Roy’s got ‘em. Abstinence? Ditto. The list goes on.
In twelve albums over twenty years and on stages, screens and airwaves across America, Roy has brought the sting of satire to the struggle for Peace and Social Justice.
Tickets are $15, and seating is limited to 40. For reservations contact WERU at 469-6600 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Learn more about Roy Zimmerman on the web at http://royzimmerman.com/.
