North or southbound traffic from Bremen will be detoured north to Route 32 to Waldoboro or westerly on Biscay Road to Route 1 in Damariscotta.
As part of MaineDOT’s Capital Improvement Program, crews will be replacing the deteriorated and undersized culvert with a large strut.
In addition, funding for the restoration of the fish passage will be shared by NOAA, Gulf of Maine Council, American Rivers, Maine Natural Resource Council and MaineDOT.
This $270,000 project will be performed by Hagar Enterprises of Damariscotta.
