GUILFORD, Maine – The River Festival Committee has announced their musical line-up.
Cross’n Mason, 6-9 p.m. Friday, July 27 – new band from Augusta playing a blend of country music mixed with classic rock.
Resistance, 1-5 p.m. , Saturday, July 28 – award winning classic rock band that has played on radio stations and at Hard Rock Cafe in Boston. The oldest member of the band is 17 and the youngest is the female drummer who is only 12 years old.
Family Tradition, 5-9 p.m. Saturday, July 28 – country and classic rock from the Bangor area.
New to the River Festival this year is the pet pageant organizer and sponsor, Fresh Air Dogs. They will have a walking group in the parade and an exciting show on stage following the Miss Lilac pageant.
Contact Fresh Air Dogs at 207-564-2604 to enter your pet and get information about the days activities. It’s also not too late to sign up for a booth at the River Festival to promote your business or non-profit organization.
The Bike Rodeo will be held on the basketball court. All registrants will be eligible to win a bike at the end of the event and all participants will be given a bike helmet. If you are interested in donating money to purchase bikes and bike helmets please drop your donation at the Guilford Town Office and let them know it’s for the bike rodeo.
It’s time to purchase duck race tickets which begins at 3 p.m. the day of the festival. Tickets may be purchased at Forget Me Not Flowers in Guilford, Key Bank in Guilford, or at Goulette’s IGA Store in Guilford.
