Renowned Publisher of PRNews to Keynote at Oct. 10 Public Relations Conference

PORTLAND, Maine — The Maine Public Relations Council announces last call for registrations for its annual Conference & Awards Presentations being held noon-6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10. Diane Schwartz, Senior Vice President & Group Publisher of the nationally acclaimed PR News, will reveal secrets to effective communication in a world of chaos.

“Our industry continues to evolve; we are honored to have Diane join us this year to share her insights and experience from her years on the front lines, covering the PR and media worlds,” said Alisa Conroy Morton, APR, MPRC President and Marketing Communications Consulting with UNUM, in a press release.

Communications directors from high profile companies, including Jill McGowan, Stonewall Kitchen, Hannaford and Maine Medical Center, will present today’s challenges and successes in the areas of corporate and crisis communication. Rounding out the day will be an awards ceremony celebrating the various accomplishments of area PR & Marketing firms and professionals.
