Quilt show raises funds for Ronald McDonald House

CALAIS, Maine — The Ronald McDonald House of Bangor was the big winner at St. Croix International Quilters Inspired By Nature Quilt Show in Calais. Every two years, the quilters create a bedspread and raffle it. Proceeds from the raffle this year exceeded $2,700. Dawn Phillips was the winner of the quilt. Organizers said people attended the show from as far south as Tennessee and as far east as Nova Scotia.
