FARMINGTON, Maine — Auditions for seven soloist roles and an open choir call have been announced for “The Garden”.
“The Garden”, an allegorical oratorio written by Michael Mclean, Merrill Jenson and Bryce Neubert, originally opened in Jerusalem and has been performed across the United States, as well as in France, South America, and Russia. Now, directed by Siiri Stinson of Wilton and Jim Perkins of New Vineyard, plans are underway to bring this internationally performed oratorio to Maine, inviting people of all faiths across the state to participate.
Auditions will take place 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 141 Woodfield Drive.
Open choir informational sessions will be held in Bangor at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, at the Bangor LDS Stake Center, 639 Grandview Ave. and at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 4 Hasson St. in Farmingdale.
Rehearsals will begin after the first of the year and culminate in two performances in early March before Easter.
