HARMONY, Maine — USDA Rural Development has selected The Patriarchs Club in Harmony to receive Rural Economic Impact Initiative Grant funds of $30,250.
The grant will be used to assist in the construction of an exhibition building on fair grounds. The facility will provide educational/cultural displays and activities focused on natural agricultural based fibers such as alpaca and sheep.
The Patriarchs Club is a community improvement society located in Harmony that was established in 1947 to promote community projects for the betterment of the town of Harmony. It operates the Harmony Free Fair, an agricultural fair that provides cultural and educational activities through agricultural exhibits and events.
