ORONO, Maine — The Orono Public Library joins libraries across the state by participating in ‘Snapshot Maine 2012 – Libraries Connect: People, Community, Jobs’ on Thursday, Oct 18, 2012.
The Library will compile statistics, customer comments, and photographs chronicling a typical library day. The results collected at will be added to those of other libraries across Maine to demonstrate the ways that libraries provide invaluable services to Maine citizens every day.
Citizens of Orono are asked to drop by the Public Library to share their thoughts about the library and participate in some of the day’s activities. On that day the library will host: the weekly infant and toddler story times; a Pajama Story Time; and a visit with author, Monica Wood.
Snapshot 2012 is a project of the Maine State Library, Maine Library Association, the Maine Association of School Libraries and the Orono Public Library.
