AUGUSTA, Maine — Each year, the Maine Women’s Policy Center brings 100 eighth-grade girls to Augusta to learn how policy affects their lives, and how they can affect it. The purpose is to engage and empower young women to shape their own lives and those of their fellow girls and women.
Organization seeks ideas to empower girls, women
Women and girls are the backbone of our communities, so it’s vital to provide them with the resources to allow them to thrive. That’s why GOOD is giving $2,500 to an idea that empowers and uplifts women and girls. Visit our http://empowerwomen.maker.good.is/projects/gdash and click “Vote for this Idea” to cast your vote for Girls Day at the State House.
Voting ends Friday, Nov. 2.
