HERMON, Maine — Eighteen months ago, Gina Bennett took a chance and started her own business, Advanced Modifications, Inc., a company providing modifications for individuals with special needs.
An open house will be held 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21 and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, to showcase their facility at 2 Printer’s Drive, Suite 7, Hermon, Maine.
This will provide an opportunity for some of the major suppliers to display their products. On site will be a new, aerodynamic ambulance manufactured by Malley Industries Inc., a new 2012 Honda Odyssey modified by VMI with a Northstar wheelchair accessible lowered floor conversion and Liko Lifts will showcase their innovative lifts for transferring and lifting patients in commercial settings such as nursing and assisted living facilities, hospitals and day programs as well as for home use.
The company offers wheelchair accessible vehicles, driving aids, specialized seating systems and other custom modifications. Now with a new expansion including a showroom, they are entering into new markets geared towards First Responders, Firefighters, Law Enforcement and Highway as well as Home Healthcare products.
