AUGUSTA, Maine — The University of Maine at Augusta (UMA) and Maine Instrument Flight (MIF) will hold an Open Hangar Community Event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, May 31, at Maine Instrument Flight, located at the Augusta State Airport.
The event, which is being held to celebrate the launch of UMA’s new Bachelor of Science degree in aviation, will provide an opportunity for prospective students to meet with UMA admissions representatives and MIF flight instructors about the program.
UMA’s aviation program is the first one in Maine that allows students to earn and pilot license and a college degree simultaneously.
There will be refreshments and a drawing for free flights for prospective students.
