Nursing center hires new unit manager

CAMDEN — Quarry Hill announced the appointment of Nurse Kimberly Marquis of Monroe to the position of unit manager of the Gardens, the community’s short- and long-term nursing care center.

Before joining Quarry Hill, Marquis was unit manager for skilled nursing care at the Knox Center for Long Term Care in Rockland. She has served in several roles, including skilled unit manager, clinical reimbursement coordinator, assistant director of nursing and nurse educator at Harbor Hill in Belfast from 2006 to 2011. In addition, she has worked as an instructor in the certified nursing assistant program at Waldo County Technical Center and as a public health nurse.

Marquis holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Husson College. She served as a volunteer fire fighter and training officer for the Monroe Fire Department from 2000 to 2010 and as a volunteer emergency medical technician for the Arthur Jewell Community Center Ambulance Service from 2003 to 2010.
