JEFFERSON, Maine — A timber framing workshop will be conducted Thursday through Sunday, September 27-30, at Hidden Vally Nature Center. The workshop starts with standing trees and uses an onsite portable bandsaw that turns logs into posts and beams. The workshop will end with a full-size building that will be erected during the center’s open house. The workshop will be taught by Bob Lear.
The cost of the workshop is $500, $450 center, SWOAM and MOFGA members, including breakfast, lunch and all materials. Some scholarships are available from MOFGA.
