GREENVILLE, Maine — Piscataquis County Economic Development Council will present a Snowmobile and ATV Summit on Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Trailside Restaurant in Greenville.
This Summit was made possible through a grant from the US Department of Agriculture. The free workshop will be targeted toward Moosehead Regional Businesses that wish to cater to the snowmobile and ATV markets, in their respective seasons. The purpose of this event is to assist business people in increasing and maintaining existing business, to help them understand specifics regarding what each market expects, and to help business owners realize how to maximize their individual and collective competitiveness.
The panels will discuss in detail what snowmobilers and ATVers want in a destination in addition to good trails. Panel members will share visitor origination information, what these sports are seeking with regard to safety, equipment, lodging, amenities, parking, security, etc.
Tourism experts will discuss best places or mechanisms to market and advertise to these specific markets. The panel will address what these markets want from a community to encourage their continued return.
