Miracle’s first trombone lesson

GLENBURN, Maine — Miracle Redden wanted to play in the school band, but the instrument was not in the family budget. Her music instructor, Sarah Williams, reached out to the Gifts of Music a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting music education for Maine youth. The organization provided an instrument to the school for Miracle’s use.

The Gifts of Music and Glenburn music educator Sarah Williams would  like to invite the public to Miracle’s first trombone lesson at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at the Glenburn School.

The Gifts of Music has three scholarships currently available for Maine music students, one full scholarship provided to a qualifying student participating in the Bangor Youth Symphony and two partial scholarship for the Downeast Kid’s Chorus, under the direction of Paul Sullivan, as part of the fall education program at The Grand in Ellsworth.
