PORTLAND, Maine– Might & Main, one of Portland’s premiere design and branding firms, was recognized for its success and contributions to Maine’s creative economy with a 2012 entreverge award from PROPEL Portland, a networking and development organization for young entrepreneurs affiliated with the Portland Regional Chamber.
Might & Main was selected from over 100 nominees for its achievements in its first two years in business, its scalable vision for the future, and its continued commitment to Maine and the Portland community it calls home.
“Whether we’re working with a national client like Beam or Stonyfield or a local client like the Portland Museum of Art, we always try to bring in local talent and suppliers,” said Sean Wilkinson, one of three principals at Might & Main and president of AIGA Maine. “This fall, you’ll see some great stuff from our design collaborations with local artists like Black Point Mercantile and Strong Arm Bindery at the Museum store. We were honored to work with the Museum and to be able to engage with fellow local artists to create some truly unique products.”
“As brand-‐focused designers, we work to create artifacts that are not just beautiful, but absolutely right for their intended audience,” said Arielle Walrath, principal at Might & Main. “This involves attention to detail, beauty and craft as well as a level of technical innovation, strategy and marketing know-‐how that is not always found at design agencies. We’ve built a team that is capable of crafting purposeful, genuine brand experiences across a huge variety of mediums, and we see that paying off for our clients when they put their brand in front of consumers.”
