Maine Kitchen Cooking School held it’s inaugural class this week at R.M. Flagg in Veazie with guest chef Lou Keifer, Executive Chef at the Bar Harbor Inn, winning compliments from all participants for his presentation featuring Frenchman’s Bay Bouillabaisse,Mache Salad and Grand Marnier Creme Brulee. Chef Lou shared food stories and history, as well as techniques, engaging students throughout the class. Every course participant rated the class “Excellent” in the class evaluation. Future classes at Maine Kitchen Cooking School included Chef Brian Langley from the Union River Lobster Pound in Ellsworth sharing, “Fresh from the Sea Maine Blue Mussels” followed by other classes such as Basic Cake Decorating, Make Your Own Gravlox,A Plethora of Pestos and Farm to Plate: Cooking With Fresh Maine Vegetables and Quinoa(gluten free).
