WOOLWICH, Maine — The Maine-based medical transcription firm NEMT has been named Employer of the Year by the Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity, the national clinical documentation organization.

Out of hundreds of clinical documentation firms in the United States, NEMT was chosen because of its commitment to its 200 employees and independent contractors.

NEMT President Linda Allard accepted the award on Aug. 9 during association’s national convention in Indianapolis. In accepting the award, she credited CEO and owner Linda Sullivan for creating the company’s close-knit team environment.

NEMT’s selection as Employer of the Year is particularly noteworthy precisely because team members work from home and most have never seen their coworkers or managers.
