PRESQUE ISLE, Maine —Maine AllCare, the Maine Chapter of Physicians for a National Health Program, is sponsoring a presentation: “Our Vision for Universal Health Care in Maine” at 6 p .m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at the Turner Memorial Library.
Presenter Phil Caper, MD, is Vice President of Maine AllCare, a columnist for the Bangor Daily News, and internationally recognized expert on health care policy. Co-presenter Joe Lendvai is Communications Director of Maine AllCare.
This program presents commonsense solutions to the continuing problems in providing accessible and affordable health care to all Maine citizens. The Maine Health Care Law, LD 90, has already revealed serious injustices that seriously affect Aroostook County residents’ health- care insurance premiums and accessibility to care.
Maine AllCare exists to promote quality, affordable, equitable, and universal health care for the people of Maine through research, education, and advocacy.
The event is free and open to the public.
