BLUE HILL, Maine — A candidates question and answer session will be held 6:30-9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, in the main room at the Blue Hill Public Library. The event is co-sponsored by the library, the League of Women Voters Downeast, and One Maine, Hancock County. Candidates for Maine Senate and House races from the local area will  introduce themselves and a moderator will take questions from the audience and give each candidate a chance to respond.

Invited guests will include candidates Walter Kumiega, Kim Strauss, Ralph Chapman, Sherman Hutchins, Brian Langley and David White.

Dr. Eckley Herrick of Blue Hill,  professor emeritus of engineering at the Maine Maritime Academy, will moderate the session.
