BLUE HILL, Maine — The Blue Hill Public Library’s Britton Gallery and Howard Room will showcase artwork created by the artists who participated in the library’s Paint the Peninsula fundraiser in July. The show, “The Peninsula Painted” will run Sept. 3-29.

For this show artists who participated in Paint the Peninsula were invited to show a piece that is more characteristic of their usual work, created on their own studio time. Approximately 40 artists have accepted to be part of the show and will donate a portion of their proceeds to benefit the Library.

The public is invited to an ice cream social reception for the artists 4:30-6 p.m. Friday Sept. 14.
