BLUE HILL, Maine — Friends of Blue Hill Public Library Saturday book sales will go from the summer weekly schedule to monthly starting Saturday, Sept. 1. Book sales will take place 10 a.m.-2 p.m. the first Saturday of every month, in the library’s basement “book nook.”
Featured items in the Sept. 1 book sale include American novels translated into German, a set of Time Life books on Navigation, several classic books on playing chess, and foreign language books.
Book sale proceeds enable the Friends to sponsor many of the special programs offered at the library, for both children and adults, and to make special purchases of books, dvds, etc., and equipment for the library. To donate books in good condition or for information, call the library at 207-374-5515. Leave the dust jacket, regardless of condition, on donated books.
There also is an ongoing 50-cent paperback sale on the library’s second floor, accessible anytime the library is open.
