Kents Hill School to Hold 189th Commencement

KENTS HILL, Maine — Samuel Hall ’13, Student Body President, was elected by the members of the Class of 2013 as this year’s student speaker for Kents Hill School’s 189th Commencement ceremony at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, in the Hansen Quadrangle.

A native of Rockport, Sam is a member of the National Honors Society and the Phi Beta Kappa Association. A three sport athlete, Sam has participated in the Golf, Fencing, and Tennis teams at Kents Hill. He is also a recipient of numerous academic awards, including the Princeton Book Award, the Bausch and Lomb Medal, and was named a Distinguished Scholar each of his years at Kents Hill.

The class of 2013 is made up of 82 students from 11 countries, 14 U.S. states, and 18 Maine communities. The rain location will be the Gannett-Hawley Gymnasium in the Harold and Ted Alfond Athletics Center.

Cornelia Spring of New York, NY has been announced as the commencement speaker.

Mrs. Spring is the managing director of J.P. Morgan Private Bank in New York, NY. She has been a member of Kents Hill’s Board of Trustees since 2007, and is the parent of Huyette Spring’08.

Graduating Phi Beta Kappa from Smith College where she majored in art history and German, Mrs. Spring received her MBA from Columbia University. She is married to Rob Spring, an attorney.
