MILLINOCKET, Maine — Katahdin Area Rotary Club announced at their July 25 monthly assembly, that they will provide matching funds to the Millinocket Police Department grant from the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife for an ATV and Safety equipment.
With the recent completion of the local Multi Use Trail System, the Department is in need of this equipment to adequately patrol and ensure the safety of riders and the public. In a statement, President Lamson said, “ The Katahdin Area Rotary has a long history of providing support to local community projects and we are pleased to be able to assist with this much needed equipment. Proceeds from the 2013 Rotary Auction will provide the bulk of the funding for the donation.”
