BANGOR, Maine — Journalist and author John Nichols will discuss and sign his latest book “Dollarocracy: How the Money and Media Election Complex is Destroying America” 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4, Union Street Brick Church, 126 Union St.
Nichols is the Washington, D.C., correspondent for “The Nation.” A pioneering political blogger, his articles have appeared in “New York Times,” “Chicago Tribune” and dozens of other newspapers. He is a frequent guest on radio and television programs as a commentator on politics and media issues. His latest book details how unbridled campaign spending is defining our politics and, without some intervention, could signal the end of democracy.
This event is open to the public. Donations are welcome and will benefit Maine People’s Alliance’s work to strengthen Maine’s clean elections system.
